The now-iconic lights display and stunning old-town architecture have helped to turn St. Augustine into the main place to visit during New Year’s Eve on an annual basis. Vacationers can indulge in a slew of attractions and the city’s holiday-themed atmosphere, not to mention the warmth.
So, New Year’s Eve in St. Augustine is coming up again and the events are incredible, the ambiance is perfect, and the year comes to a triumphant close. What should you do this New Year’s Eve?
The Beach Blast Off
St. Augustine’s major event is the Beach Blast Off. No St. Augustine vacation during the New Year could be complete without it.
The event is at the St Augustine Beach Pier Park or the St. Johns County Beach pier. Both will bring you to 350 A1A Beach Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32080.
The event is a full showcase leading to the fireworks at 8:30 pm. Live music plays throughout the day, often beginning at around 6 pm. Beach games and the nearby park area will erupt with families and groups visiting.
There may be large televisions displayed featuring coverage at Times Square and other parts of the world. Food trucks will be settled all along the area, so you will never be short of finding delicious treats and snacks for the family.
There is one big parking lot, but it won’t stay available for long. Some travelers may park along with some designated guest areas along the side streets. Parking may also be found at the Ocean Hammock Park or by the St. Augustine Lighthouse with shuttles available to take visitors to the island.
The St. Augustine Visitor Center at 10 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084 may have specific details about shuttle times and availability and can be reached at (904) 825-1000.
