Blue Crab Festival
The Annual Blue Crab Festival is held every Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine along the riverfront. Held in remembrance of the many members of the U.S. military who died serving the country, this free festival is also an opportunity to come together as a community. There will be a large seafood cook-off, carnival rides, live entertainment, vendors, arts and crafts, delicious food and much more. The festival will be held all Memorial Day weekend long in downtown Palatka.
Memorial Day Parade
Held on Monday, May 30th and beginning at 11 am, this colorful procession will make its way down St. Johns Avenue in downtown Palatka. The parade will be made up of lots of themed floats, community groups, and some of the city’s local marching bands from nearby schools.
Follow the Sun Music Fest at the Backyard Stage
St. Augustine will be hosting the first day of a new three-day music festival called, “Follow the Sun Music Fest.” Held in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Friday, May 27th, the fest will include performers including Drag the River, Outer Spaces, Sinners and Saints, Ann Pragg, and the Supersuckers. Admission for one day of the fest is $15 per person, and three-day tickets are available for $35 each.
Join the Northeast Florida Marlin Association as they host their 44th Annual Bluewater Tournament which will be held all Memorial Day weekend long from Thursday through Sunday at the Marlin Clubhouse at Camachee Cove. A gathering of boats will come together as entrants can fish in designated areas and compete for prizes and bragging rights for their catch of the day. Weigh-ins will begin every night at 7 pm. The tournament is free for spectators with entry fees and rules for participants available on the official site.
