St. Augustine Yoga

There’s no need to give up your yoga routine while enjoying your vacation in St. Augustine. Give yourself more excuse to dine wherever you’d like at night when you visit one of the many St. Augustine FL yoga studios in the area. Here are a few that we’ve highlighted for you to consider.

Discovery Yoga Center

Located right in Old City, you won’t have to trek far to find a high-quality St. Augustine yoga studio if you’re staying downtown. The 1,300 square-foot studio has a relaxing, intimate atmosphere that allows you to easily focus. You can call ahead to set up a one-time session, take classes, or even stay at the yoga hostel that’s in the building. The hostel accommodates up to 20 guests, and makes the studio one of the more passionate places about yoga in the area. The studio is Kripalu-affiliated, meaning that it focuses on self-empowerment and personal growth. Call ahead to schedule your class and get on the path to bettering yourself.

Bikram Yoga

Bikram yoga refers to the 26 postures sequence that were selected and developed by Bikram Choudhury from Hatha Yoga. These 26 unique postures attempt to systematically stretch every part of the body – from your veins to your vital organs. If this sounds a little intense, then The Bikram Yoga studio on Anastasia Blvd has instructors ready to help you get stretching. Bikram offers drop-in classes, or a 10-class package for the full yoga experience. There’s also massage services offered at Bikram for those who have found physical activity elsewhere, and are just looking for a relaxing stretch of the muscles. They also offer raindrop therapy, rolfing, biomat, deep tissue massages, cupping and hot stones as alternative methods.

The Yoga Room

The Yoga Room in St. Augustine specializes in yoga, barre, and pilates. They focus on small classes with personal attention and top instructors. There’s a “flow and stretch” class that is perfect for all levels of experience, and a similar “vinyasa flow” class. Additionally, the Yoga Room has classes for barre and mat pilates.

Those who attend the barre class can expect upbeat music, high energy and lots of sweating. This relatively new technique combines yoga, contemporary pilates, and ballet. The workouts are intended to condition your body, while lengthening and strengthening your tone. All levels are welcome for barre classes, and those interested should call ahead to reserve a spot.
